Economic Slump In Pakistan

According to a report published on the world banks website Pakistan had Performed well in mitigating poverty in the country. However, the country still shows signs of a slowdown in economic growth. In a report, it is estimated that 47 million people in Pakistan have succeeded in escaping from poverty from 2001- 2018.

In the Year 2022, the country faced the worst flood in its entire history, it was not anticipated as result in the country faced huge Losses both economic and human losses. it is estimated that about 15% of the country's land was in the water and the country and has affected more than 33 million people To date 1700+ deaths have been reported and more than 2 million houses have been completely destroyed or partially damaged. Pakistan is an agricultural country with recent events livestock industry has also been affected also more than 25000+ animal shelters have been destroyed or damaged more than 1.1 million animals died or still missing

While comparing with infrastructure more than 440 bridges have been completely destroyed or partially damaged and 13000 km of road is completely affected.

Because of ongoing events poverty rate increased from 2.5 to 4% and up to 9 million people entered in poverty scale

Minister greeted the delegation and talked about the ongoing financial crises Pakistan is currently facing. Minister also informed the Delegation how he has completed several other IMF programs. During the meeting, the minister expresses his commitment to fulfilling international requirements regarding IMF program

The Rothschild delegation briefed the Finance minister about the company’s businesses and the services they are providing across the Globe to other countries and has supported the steps taken by the Pakistani Government to Tackle ongoing financial crises

The finance minister appreciated the intentions of the delegation and looking forward to a positive response. Delegation members suggested many different options for the Pakistani government to overcome a such difficult situation
